Intro

Oh, my, gosh. It has been so long since I have given y’all a bread update (aka a brupdate.) I missed you all so much, and I am beyond excited to jump back on here and share with you my buns!

I know 2 weeks ago I said that I would either be making English muffins or bagels but that was before I came across the 3-month-old burger patties buried deep within my freezer. Plus, let’s be honest with ourselves, burger buns are delicious, and we will not deny them any of our attention. Okay enough chit-chat, let’s get into it!

Recipe

I chose this specific recipe because it claimed that it was only 40 minutes! And they were right, it did not take very long at all compared to how long a couple of loaves of bread take. Most of the time was dedicated to making the dough, they only had to cook for about 15 minutes! I love that I didn’t have to let the bread rise for hours, you practically whip them up and throw them in the oven. Another thing this recipe had to offer was simple ingredients for some simple buns, I used everything I usually use when making bread and didn’t have to go to the store for anything fancy. The only different ingredient that I used was eggs!

What Went Well?

The buns turned out great, they smelt good, they looked good, and they tasted good. It was such little work making them, I would recommend this recipe to any beginner bread maker! I got my measurements right and, for once, didn’t struggle too much reading the recipe. Overall a great experience!

What Could Be Improved?

I believe the only mistake I made was placing the pan with the buns on the bottom rack. because of this, the bottoms of the buns got a bit burned resulting in a slightly crunchy and unenjoyable bottom. If I make these buns again I would make sure to place the buns on the top rack to get them further away from the heat source. Other than this the buns were delicious.

Photos

My apologies for not taking as many photos as usual, I got carried away!

Conclusion

Overall this was extremely fun and educational for me and I’m so proud of myself for branching out, yet again, for another bread recipe. I can’t wait to make lots of buns this summer for BBQs and get-togethers!
